MARINE CORPS MARATHON

be a charity runner to support asa

ASA is excited to announce that we are an official charity partner for the Marine Corps Marathon for this special 50th anniversary!  Join Athletes Serving Athletes on Sunday, October 26th in our nation’s capital for an unparalleled journey through some of our country’s most iconic landmarks. Receive guaranteed entry by fundraising in support of our Wingman Program and make a difference in the lives of those living with disabilities as you take a 26.2-mile trip through one of the top marathons in the country.  You will be running on your own in support of ASA – you will not be pushing an ASA Athlete on a Wingman Team during the MCM.

Your support will make a difference!  Not only will the funds you raise earn you a spot in the MCM, but you will make it possible for every ASA Athlete living with disabilities to experience the love, dignity, and connection that comes through participation in The Wingman Program.

No Federal or Marine Corps endorsement implied

MISSION

ASA’s mission is to elevate the quality of life for individuals with limited mobility by empowering them to train for and participate in mainstream running events. We are a champion of inclusion, connecting ASA Athletes to runners from the community through our Wingman Program, inspiring all to celebrate the spirit of “Together We Finish!” Through tremendous community support and investment, ASA provides The Wingman Program free of charge to the ASA Athletes and families we serve.

REGISTERING FOR MCM

You will be provided a custom link to register for the MCM as soon as you reach the 50% ($500) fundraising amount, no later than August 5th.  If you do not raise $500 by the August 5th deadline, your spot will be given to another interested charity runner and any donations received up to this point will not be refunded.  If after being accepted as an ASA Charity Runner you can no longer attend or run the MCM, you are responsible for the transfer fees associated with bib reassignment to another ASA Charity Runner.

ASA has a limited number of charity race bibs available on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will be accepting runners until all bibs are reserved.  A waitlist will then be started and if additional bibs can be secured, you will be informed and given first right of refusal for the bib.

TRAINING

Runners should train using any plans of their liking to reach the goal of running the MCM in support of ASA.
