BECOME AN ASA WINGMAN
ready to get started?
You can read below to learn more about the different types of Wingmen in our program. If you are ready to register now and know which type you will be, let’s go!
WHAT’S A WINGMAN?
An ASA Wingman may be new to running, an experienced athlete, young, old, fast or slow. A Wingman does not need to have experience with individuals living with disabilities, nor do they need to have experience racing, just the desire to train and run with our Athletes. All Wingmen must be able to run (not walk) the distance of your desired race. If you need assistance finding training groups and trails, check out our Running Resources.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF WINGMEN
There are 3 different types of Wingman options you can sign up for based on your student status and running experience. Please read each option carefully, as each role has slightly different commitment requirements. Wingman Captain is the 3rd option which is earned after at least 1 year in the program.
