ASA Spotlight: Brady Dunne

ASA SPOTLIGHT

Join us each month as we interview and feature members of the ASA Community! This month, we’re shining the spotlight on an Athlete in our Northern Virginia Community – Brady Dunne!

1. Tell us more about yourself. What would you like readers to know?

I (Brady) am 11 years old and in fifth grade. I love being outdoors year round but my favorite time of year is fall/winter. I enjoy listening to music and have very specific preferences I am not afraid of
expressing. Some say I am an adrenaline junkie and I would have to agree, I love going fast with the wind in my face.

2. What drew you to ASA? When did you start?

When my mom learned about ASA she knew it was a perfect fit because I could be outdoors and go fast, my favorite combo. I started ASA is spring of 2023.

3. What do you love most about ASA?

I love the opportunity ASA has given me to participate in races and group runs.

4. Tell us more about the people you've connected with through ASA.

The people I have met through ASA are amazing and some of the nicest people I know. They have taken the time to get to know me and my family. They always make us feel welcome.

5. What is your favorite part of a group run?

My favorite part of a group run is letting the wingmen/capitans know when I think they need to go faster and kicking off my shoes to keep them all on alert.

6. What is your favorite part of race day?

My favorite part of race day is when the race actually starts.

7. What is your best ASA story to date?

There have been so many great moments with ASA. My favorite might be the Virginia RunFest and getting my local community involved.
