WINGMAN SPOTLIGHT
Join us each month as we interview and feature members of the ASA Community! This month, we’re shining the spotlight on ASA’s NEW Co-Coordinator for Baltimore County, Jenny Grim!
1. Tell us more about yourself. What would you like readers to know?
I have been a part of ASA for about 10 years. I live in Timonium with my husband and son. I teach middle school science at Cockeysville Middle. I can’t run fast but I can run far!
2. What drew you to ASA? When did you start?
I had gotten back into running and saw ASA at the Charles Street 12 miler. When I got home I googled them and saw they trained on the NCR trail. I felt like I had met my individual running goals and was ready to do something different. The next spring I joined ASA and have been training and racing ever since. My first race was the Baltimore 10-Miler in 2014 as part of Team James.
3. What do you love most about ASA?
I love the ASA community. It’s really has given me a reason to continuing running. I really believe “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.” I haven’t been fast since my high school days! But running with ASA is so much more fun than running alone! I don’t think I would run as much as I do without ASA.
4. Tell us more about the people you've connected with through ASA.
5. What is your favorite part of a group run?
6. What is your favorite part of race day?
7. What is your best ASA story to date?
8. What are you most looking forward to as the new Co-Coordinator of Baltimore County?
